As 2015 wraps up I wanted to thank everyone for making this blog a resounding success. Your comments, your shares, and your feedback mean a lot to me and I want to thank you for your continued support.
Blog Success

As we wrap up the second year at SuperTekBoy I wanted to share some numbers with you.
- In 2014, SuperTekBoy welcomed 205,000 visitors who viewed 280,000 pages.
- In 2015, SuperTekBoy welcomed 320,000 visitors who viewed 450,000 pages.
That’s 60% growth. Thank you!
With your continued support–your shares, your likes, your follows–I am sure we can continue this upward trend.
Never could I have imagined 2 years ago that this site would grow to the extent it has. Thank you!
Without you, there is no need for me. So, as always, I desire your feedback. Good or bad.
Always Improving
You may have noticed a couple of changes to the site during 2015. The first being our new logo. The old logo never really incorporated the name of the site. Plus the old blog header never illustrated what the blog was all about. I faced similar issues with the banners on my social accounts. That said towards the end of 2015 I hired some really smart people to design a new logo and header image for this blog. I think it turned out really neat.
The second was the site navigation. It just never seemed to work. Doing a little bit of behavioral investigation with Google Analytics I could see it wasn’t working for you either. One evening I took the plunge and massively overhauled the site navigation; refocusing menus, categories, and taxonomies around the technologies this blog served. A step in the right direction for sure.
Visuals aside there were also a number of behind the scenes improvements as well. I switched hosting plans, adopted a content delivery network and added a new caching framework. New plugins were added. While others were replaced or removed altogether. The code was scrutinized and minified. The goal–improve site performance to give you the best reading experience possible. I hope I have achieved this goal. But I am always looking for areas of improvement. Drop me a comment and let me know if any area needs review.
Certifiable

In 2014 I had achieved both my MCSE Messaging in Exchange 2013 and my MCSA in Office 365. This year I picked up the MCSA in Server 2012.
I was able to substitute one of Office 365 exams for the 70-412 exam. This actually came as a bit of surprise. I didn’t realize that was an option until I received the congratulatory email from Microsoft on my MCSA.
I think my next exam track will be Exchange 2016. Although I have yet to see any information on the 2016 exams.
For the love of muddy
Keeping my passion for mud alive my oldest daughter and I ran our second MudAthlon.
The MudAthlon is a 5k event with over 40 obstacles.
Beer, wings and live music awaited me at the end. Can’t beat that right?
If you are curious, check out this great YouTube video from Kyle Terry.
Here is how I looked after the mudslide. Think I have something in my eye.
We are already planning for our third in 2016!
Looking ahead
It’s hard to know what 2016 will bring. But with hard work (and maybe a little luck) let’s bring our dreams to reality.
I wish you all the best in 2016–but most of all I wish you good health.
Together, let’s make 2016 the best year ever! Happy New Year!
